the sign in the lunchroom

it alerts people to the upcoming potluck babyshower for another coworker.

it read "lets party!"

and yes.

i added an apostrophe as needed.

i was encouraged by a lunchmate with whom i regularly grub.

sigh. this is my life.

CRAYONS!

Ahhh, the fresh smell of waxy crayons in the morning. Chunky lines. Wax remnants everywhere. Innocence. Crayola.

I found this chart yesterday and I thought it was nifty. It shows the visual transformation from Crayola's original 8 colors in 1903, the 120 different colors now.

I like how they stayed the same for just over 30 years, then the rapidly started breaking off into different hues. The site I found it on was ultra nerdy and calculated that the colors double every 28 years--maning by 2050 there will be 330 colors.

Better get a bigger box.

it snowed yesterday

a fresh layer. so pretty.

while leaving my new apartment, hardly anyone had even driven on it yet. Ahhhh. i do just love me some fresh-fallin snow. whenever i move from Denver, i will certainly miss living where it snows. sigh.

alas, with moving and planning a glorious matrimony...it's been a busy month for Montastic.

more mind-blowing posts to come soon. i promise.

no longer accepting applications, I'M ENGAGED!

yes indeed. this is fact.
i'm engaged. soon-to-be-wed. wifey in the making. someone's fiance. ringed.

after a wonderful weekend in california (for a friend's wedding) we got home sunday night. i had made some lasagna for the manlove's birthday. while is was baking, i took a shower. after the shower i gave Matt his birthday gifts--which he loved, because i know exactly what to get him --Nuggets vs Blazers tickets!

i got up to throw away some candy wrappers, chop onions for the salad, and continue prepping din-din. he grabbed my hand. sat me down. cried a lot. apparantly asked me. and i apparantly said yes!

he told me he had the ring for almost 3 weeks. he told me he was going to wait to ask until after we moved this coming weekend. he told me he had planned to do a picnic-esque date and ask me then. he also told me he couldn't wait. once he had my dad's permission, the ring that had been hiding away for almost month just HAD to come out. it was perfect.

so now, lots to plan! lots to love! lots to look forward to.

smile.
