Mohawk Lake and Continental Falls

Saturday I went on my favorite Colorado hike to date. And that's saying something considering I've been on many a hike in the 'rado since living here.

This hike was a 7 mile round trip hike to Mohawk Lake (up near Breckenridge). Along the hike there were ruins of old mining cabins and Continental Falls. It was amazing.

Probably an intermediate-level hike, it took us through some rolling hills before the last 1.5 miles of stepper incline up to the lake (just over 12,000 ft elevation).

The weather was perfect! Upper 60s/ Low 70s. A nice cloud clover to protect us from frying in the sun. And wildflowers everywhere! Absolutely perfect. What a great Saturday, a great a hike, and great Colorado nature.

If you are ever in the area and enjoy a nice jaunt through the forest...do check out Mohawk Lake's hike. It's splendid. The End.
